If so, I want you.
I’m currently putting together a new web directory called Buy Indie Wholesale.
Independent designers will be able to submit the following information:
- Name,
- URL,
- Type of merchandise available for wholesale,
- Description of the style,
- Wholesale login info (or instructions on how to contact you for wholesale rates.)
(Don’t e-mail anything to me. You’ll be able to add your listing to the directory once it’s complete this week.)
I’m currently compiling a mailing list of boutiques in the 20 largest US metropolitan areas. Every month I’ll be doing a promotional postcard mailing to those boutique owners. So who knows what opportunities will open up for you!
And if you’ve never considered selling wholesale, check out the following articles:

I love the idea of wholesale but have no idea where to get help with the production end of things. I wonder if others produce all of their own wholesale items or if they source other production options?
Thanks,
Virginia

Hi Virginia… Some people do outsource some of the production work. Some people only offer a few items wholesale. Maybe you can start off with 3-4 of your t-shirts.
Also remember, you don’t need to have all of the items produced at once. You can wait until you get a wholesale order, then make the items.
Since you’ll be dealing with smaller boutiques, they’re not going to be placing huge orders anyway. I don’t think you’ll have a problem if you focus on tee’s.
BTW, I haven’t been to your site in a while. I’m DIGGING your new tee’s. And your avant garde/American Apparel-ish photos rock.
